As a next career move, he was looking for a role in project management and was interested to know more about making a career move as ‘Project Manager’. The below points summarizes my conversation with him:

While starting up many businesses find themselves in mid of financial crunch for marketing their products/services or acquiring their customers. Customers are the lifeline of any business and proper marketing is the only way to attract and acquire those customers.
Every business or the team sets apart a specific amount of budget for acquiring the customers but today I am going to show you how to market your business or the solutions on shoe string budget.
As a business owner or a marketing representative you should always make sure to talk about your business or the product to every person you meet. Many professionals make a mistake of speaking about the product/business to a selected group of audience or to the audiences who asked for.
As a representative of the business you should always be ready to speak about your business to any group of audience you meet and this hack will help you in finding new business in newer demographics with similar requirements. This in longer run will help you in making you prepare for the newer group of audiences who might be looking for related solutions
Speaking about or talking about your business to every person you meet will make you come across people who are actively or passively looking for you.
When you are building business you should always make a routine exercise of following your existing customers. It is always cheaper to market your product/services to existing customers than to market to new. You should always introspect whether you can build a product/solution which may be required by existing customers.
This is one of the most important reason, you should build a customer list segmented by their needs and their market demographics and send periodical newsletter with the information they need. A business should always make sure to add more value to their existing clients by giving free takeaways and product updates.
Following up with your existing customers will also help you in building a huge base of loyal customer base and strong referral network. Following up with existing customers also helps you in building constant source of revenue from existing base.
As a salesperson, energy is most important component of your job and daily life. In any industry, a sales person is driven by energy and earning a sales with sluggishness, tiredness or lack of sleep is the most difficult task. I was once monitoring sales presentation of my team member, who has a reputation of making his point heard in any situation, and I noticed that he was not showing his potential and the enthusiasm to make a point as he usually does. I noticed the change and immediately called him in my office and ask for the reason. He told me that he is not feeling energetic as he usually does and further told me that he didn't had proper breakfast. To make sure not to destroy the lead, I immediately took my team member and the client to a hotel for refreshing meal and later allow them to discuss further over the meal in serene environment.
After coming to Dubai for taking up a job in leading a professional training company, I felt alone as I wasn't able to find any person with whom I can share my ideas for validation before implementing it. Most of my inherited staff were new to the real training industry and wasn't aware of the organization's requirements.
After few days of onboarding and later the development of the initial process, I felt to have a group of peers who can validate my ideas and also help me in navigating the critical issues in terms of business generation and design of content. Initially I leveraged most of my network and even social connections for expanding the clientele base and vendor relationships and to expand further, I joined a professional organization which helped me in expanding further. Here are the top benefits I leveraged after joining a professional organization.
