Always have a strategy to close the deal: I saw many sales professionals presenting the proposition in the best manner and even making customers believe about the proposition and trust the offering but fail to convert the deal because of not having a perfect strategy to close the deal. A sales professional should have a strategy to close the deal based on the conversation and the requirements and should have several calls to action in the entire conversation.
Make prospecting a habit: Prospecting is a soul of sales and to make great amount of sales you should make prospecting a habit and should dedicate a part of day for prospecting. Your sales funnel should be full of prospects and leads.
Be confident of what you are selling: To sell better you should be confident of the value of the product to achieve greater results and you should communicate the same confidence to the customer by demonstrating the same.
Follow time: As a sales professional you should be on time for making greater impact and close more deals. If you are not following the time for following up or the prospecting their is 100% chance of losing the deal. This is the main reason expert and thought leader in sales always shows up in time and will always be particular about self discipline and time.
