Often time, an Individuals or persons loses his productivity due to many external and internal factors and this loss of productivity will bring in huge loss to the organization and as well as to the individual's performance. While in big teams, HR managers will help in increasing productivity by coaching, motivating and guiding but often times an individual have to outcome from his productivity lapse. Though getting back to productivity often takes time but avoiding productivity lapse at work is very simple by following these life hacks.
Avoid being burnout: Being burnout is also one of the top reason for lapse in productivity at work. Constantly working without taking time for yourself besides not indulging in off work activities can constantly decrease your mental and physical performance. To improve my productivity at work, I mostly avoid gadgets and work station on weekend and limit the mail access to once. I also avoid taking office phones and will have dinner at serene environment with my friends.
Avoid multitasking often: Multitasking at work is not an asset and one should avoid doing multitasking most of the time. Multitasking often results in mediocre work and more mental strain which in turn results in stress and loss of productivity. To improve my productivity at work, I often rate the priority of the work in hand and the newer tasks to be accomplished and don't switch to newer task unless the newer task is of very high priority and the work in hand can be completed in late hours.
Not being aware of the right time to quit: Many professionals, especially sales rep, keeps on working on the lead or the project without knowing the real outcome or the definite time frame and in the longer will decrease their productivity. To improve my productivity at work, I will laid down definite expected outcome of the time being invested and often check the milestones being achieved and if I realizes that the time being invested in a particular project (including courseware, project, consulting assignments and lead), I will reassess my strategy and will decide whether to invest more time in it or to move ahead.
