For marketing different solutions, I do used various mediums including phone for telesales. On an average, I do make over 15 - 20 sales calls a day and on every sales call, my bottom line is to convert the prospect over the phone and to make a sales. Initially, I used to make mistakes but over the period of time, I mastered few skills which helped me in selling better over the phone. In this post, I am sharing the skills which I mastered over the phone:
Master the art of using descriptive words: While selling your product or services over the phone you should use words which describes your personality, your's organization personality and as well as your product's. To make maximum impact, a sales person should use the words which are synonymous with the industry and as well as the product/solution to create a positive image.
Master the art of pronouncing the person as well as organization name: As a sales professional, you should know how to pronounce the organization's name as well as the listener's name. Proper pronunciation with appropriate syllables and periods will strike a right chord and will also open up the avenues for further discussion.
Master the art of focusing on the client and his relevant information: As you are not infront of him, their is huge chance of getting distracted through e mail, web chats or another call. Focusing on other things apart from the client's may get you lose the focus and enthusiasm which is required for closing the call.
Master the art of body language: Whenever any client is on taking up a decision, I usually put my phone on speaker, when I am alone in the room, or will use headphones to use my limb movement. Using hand movement will help you in gaining more energy for closing the call.
